SUMMARY:Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Register here\n\n\n\n\nYou are invited to attend the 2-day Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop hosted by the PRIME POCUS Learning Network on September 19-20\, 2026 at the Village Workspace & Event Center 7173 S Havana St #600\, Centennial\, CO 80112. This is a POCUS workshop made by Family docs\, for Family docs! \n\n\n\nPRIME (POCUS Research\, Innovation and Medical Education) is a primary care–focused ultrasound learning network dedicated to expanding access to practical\, evidence-based point-of-care ultrasound training for Family Medicine and Primary Care Clinicians. Join us for an engaging Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop (flyer attached) designed specifically for primary care clinicians interested in building practical bedside ultrasound skills. This hands-on educational experience will provide participants with foundational POCUS training applicable to everyday outpatient and inpatient clinical practice. The workshop is offered through a collaboration with Plains to Peaks\, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Department of Family Medicine\, and the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine\, bringing together expert faculty and evidence-based instruction. Participants will have opportunities for live scanning\, small-group learning\, and skills development tailored to clinicians across varying levels of ultrasound experience. \n\n\n\nWant to know more about PRIME? Many of you have probably heard that the ACGME’s Family Medicine program requirements now include resident experience with point-of-care ultrasound\, and most educators expect that ABFM competency expectations will continue to move in that direction as well. The challenge isn’t just teaching residents how to scan—it’s building faculty expertise\, developing curriculum\, creating assessment processes\, and figuring out how to sustainably implement POCUS within our own programs and practices. Beyond hands-on workshops\, PRIME POCUS also offers a growing range of educational and faculty development opportunities designed to support long-term POCUS integration in primary care. These offerings include network memberships that provide access to asynchronous educational content\, mentorship\, implementation support\, discounted workshops\, and a collaborative learning community. PRIME is also developing longitudinal faculty development programs featuring virtual learning\, mentorship\, competency assessment\, and progressive hands-on training to help clinicians build durable ultrasound skills over time. Additional resources include individualized program support for residency and clinic-based POCUS implementation\, as well as online curriculum offerings that expand access to high-quality ultrasound education for learners at multiple levels. We look forward to having you join our learning network as the future of POCUS in Primary Care unfolds!

SUMMARY:ECHO Sessions: Environmental Health and Primary Care: Supporting Patients Across Colorado
DESCRIPTION:All Coloradans experience health hazards caused by environmental factors\, particularly those in rural and frontier communities. Due to limited time and formal education in environmental health\, Colorado clinicians often have gaps in their knowledge when it comes to these important topics. \n\n\n\nIn partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)\, this series covers key environmental health topics\, including heavy metals poisoning\, emerging environmental contaminants\, and indoor and outdoor air quality. Specific topics such as mold\, extreme heat\, wildfire smoke\, PFAS\, lead\, toxic algae\, and more will be covered. Participants also learn more about sources of exposure\, who is at greater risk when exposed\, and resources and tools for you and your patients. \n\n\n\nOur application is pending approval. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the series (1.0 credit per session attended). To claim CME credit\, participants who attended at least one session must complete the post-series survey which will be sent on the day of the last session (October 28). \n\n\n\nIN PARTNERSHIP WITH \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis ECHO was made possible by a cooperative agreement program #CDC-RFA-TS-23-0001 from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). Its contents are solely the responsibility of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and do not necessarily represent the official views of the ATSDR\, or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. \n\n\n\nECHO SESSION 1\n\n\n\nDigging Deeper into Heavy Metal PoisoningOctober 7\, 2026 \n\n\n\nECHO SESSION 2\n\n\n\nAddressing the Ubiquity of PFAS\, Toxic Algae and MoreOctober 14\, 2026 \n\n\n\nECHO SESSION 3\n\n\n\nOpening Windows to Healthier Indoor AirOctober 21\, 2026 \n\n\n\nECHO SESSION 4\n\n\n\nExploring Heat\, Haze and Outdoor Air QualityOctober 28\, 2026
